Planking.. apparently it keeps water out

This moment i've been looking forward to and dreading at the same time. I'm going to attempt a template marking system on the first plank and see how it goes. I've budgeted a big block of time for planking since its so new to me and I haven't planked a boat in many many years. I'll take a bunch of pictures to document the success or failure of this method.
