I checked my numbers and it looks like I spent about 475 hours on the project so far. With the work remaining I figure I have about 25 hours or so left in varnishing and installation work.
500 hours to build a boat. Similar to the number of hours I spent building a full planked model schooner some years ago. Very tedious work if I do say so. Being said, I think there was less frustration in building this boat than in building the model.
