More construction materials

I did a little vacationing in the Green Bay part of the island. It rained the whole week but I did manage to get some fishing done and cut a couple of maple trees and have them sawn at a local mill. The maple is heavier than it looks. They were cut about 12 ft long.
To have it all cut cost $8 Can. I asked him twice to make sure I heard him correctly and gave him $10. You got to love those rural mills where everyone knows you by name or your family.
I also found some fine looking clear pine at a grocery store/lumber yard just up the street from my parents house. That along with the newly cut wet heavy maple got strapped to the roof rack of my car and carted home.
